7 Automated Emails You Need to Send to Boost Your Sales

Email marketing still remains one of the most powerful tools in the marketing industry due to the fact you can connect with your customers on a personal one-on-one basis. Whether you’re attracting new customers or retaining your old ones, you should never overlook the power of email.

If you’re able to leverage emails in the right way, it can be a great way to keep your customers connected to you, and ultimately boosts your sales and your bottom line. However, writing emails can be hard work, especially when you have to write them out, edit them, test them and then send them.

Thankfully, there are plenty of emails you can automate. These are sent to leads via a trigger and can keep all your mailing list connected, without continuous effort. If you’re struggling to think of emails you can automate, here are seven important ones to remember.

#1 The Welcome Email

This is the first and most important automated email you’ll ever set up and send. It’s a big step for a customer to hand over their email address to you, so you’ll want to thank them in the best way possible and welcome them to your company’s family.

Within the email, you can say ‘hello’ to them, link in your social media pages, show them what’s hot on your website, and you may even chuck in a discount code to get them started on buying things.

#2 Cart Abandonment

It’s estimated that around $4 trillion in sales is lost every year across the internet thanks to customers adding items to their baskets and carts and then leaving them there. This can happen for any number of reasons, so it’s a great idea to reduce this number.

“With a cart abandonment email, set it up after a few days if the customer has items in their basket, gently reminding them that they’re there and still available. For extra persuasion, you could add a discount code,” shares Michelle Green, an email marketer for Elite Assignment Help.

#3 Product Highlight Email

There are going to be several items in your inventory that your customers love, but new customers may not know about them. This means it’s up to you to educate them about it. Within a ‘highlight’ email, you can pick our one to a few products, and simply give information on them.

Here, you’ll also want to explain that these are your best-selling items, and include reviews as social proof, making it far more likely than the lead will convert into a paying customer.

#4 Nurturing Email

Wouldn’t it be great if every customer was ready to buy as soon as they found you? Unfortunately, in the real world, this isn’t the case, and many customers will like what you’re offering, but don't want to buy yet. This is where the ‘nurturing email’ comes in.

Within these emails, you can take the time to connect with your potential leads. You could educate them on your product or service, detail an upcoming sales event, or provide more information on your company to help build a sense of trust.

#5 An Accurate Email

This is important to every email you ever send. If your emails are full of mistakes, typos or grammatical errors, no customer is going to trust your company, and you’ll lose sales like water in a sieve.

If you doubt your writing standards, here are some online tools that can help;

  1. Writing Populist and Simple Grad - These two services provide up-to-date grammar information.
  2. Boomessays and Assignment Service - Use these two services to proofread your emails for accuracy, highly praised by Best Australian Writers.
  3. My Writing Way and Academadvisor - These are two writing blogs to help you improve every aspect of your writing skill.
  4. Essayroo and Big Assignments - As suggested by Bigassignments review, these are two editing tools to help you structure and format your emails.
  5. Studydemic and Let’s Go and Learn - These blogs are full of writing guides to help you write at a professional level.

#6 Upselling Emails

Once a customer has made a purchase with you, you now have an idea of what the customer likes and is interested in. With this in mind, set up automated emails several days, a week, or even a month after purchasing while detailing similar products they might find interesting.

Since you know what the customer likes, you’ll be advertising products which they’re far more likely to buy and may not know exist, dramatically increasing the chances of making a sale.

#7 Loyalty Campaigns

You will have noticed throughout this piece that offering a discount (even if it’s 5%) is a great way to boost sales. If someone is subscribed to your mailing list, you can invoke a prestigious feeling by treating your mailing list like VIPs.

This means emailing them with exclusive email-only offers, discounts, and even early access to sales. This is a great way to get people interested in your products, ultimately resulting in a sharp increase in your sales figures.
