I frequently get asked what blogs I like to read, so here is a list of my top 9 Australian business blogs I have been reading in 2017.
Flying Solo
After Interviewing Flying Solo founder Robert Gerish on my Business Brain Food Podcast It got me interested in the community he built and how much free stuff he gives away on his site! Of course, he would love you to become a member, but Robert is very abundant with lots of regular articles that are good quality and will help you, even if you’re not a micro business.
Naomi Simson
Best known for her role on Shark Tank, Naomi Simson is the founder of Red Balloon and now does the rounds as a keynote speaker. Naomi’s blog is a great read and offers valuable tips and motivation for Aussie businesses.
Bluewire Media
I list of great Aussie blogs wouldn’t be complete without adding my buddy Adam Franklin to the list. Adam and his business partner Toby have one of Australia’s most awarded blogs, and if you’re looking to learn more about marketing your business online, these guys really know their stuff!

The Australian Small Business Blog
Whilst I think the website could do with an overhaul, Dr Greg Chapman has some great content for the Australian Business Owner. His articles are easy to read and very helpful, and he is a consistent content publisher.

ProBlogger
A blog about blogging! I know… sounds strange that I would put that on the list. Darren Rowse would be considered one of the pioneers in the blogging world, and I have learnt a lot from him. As a Business you should be thinking about blogging, Problogger has over 8000 articles on blogging and is the goto place for thousands of business owners wanting to reach their prospects through blogging.
Dynamic Business
When I first learnt about Dynamic Business, it was a business magazine, and I am guessing, with the change in the way we consume media, that it was only a matter of time befiore these publications went online. Dynamic Business is a more ‘newsy’ feel of a blog, I find myself checking out their site on a weekly basis to see what’s happening. They have many contributors from all walks of life, a valuable blog for you to check out.

The Inbound Marketing Company
I have known Stacie Chalmers for over a decade, and Stacie’s knowledge is world class. Stacie’s blog is a great stop for anyone wanting to learn how to grow their business and generate inbound enquiries on the web (and who doesn’t want to do that?)

If you have ever been to one of my presentations and thought to yourself, “how does Ben know all these stats about social media?”, I am about to let the cat out of the bag. Social Media news is just that, the latest news about social media in Australia.
