Today, I’m going to give you tips on why you should be using webinars to promote your business.

Now if you don’t know what a webinar is, it’s like a seminar or a workshop online. The program that I use is GoToMeeting.com. I don’t get any affiliate commission or anything like that for referring you to those people. They’re pretty much the best I’ve seen if you want to run webinars. Now you have to sign up for an account. You’ll sign up for an account for up to 100 attendees, 1,000 attendees depending on how many people you’re going to get on your webinars.
But I really think it’s important that you consider this as an avenue for you to promote your business. Now why do I say that? More and more people are accepting webinars as a way to interact with a business. When it comes to marketing– and this is my first tip, my first reason for doing this– it’s dead simple to do. Once you’ve got your presentation together, then you can just rinse and repeat. You can just keep doing the same presentation every month. You might get 10 people on board, you might get 100 people on board. Whatever. You’ve got an avenue now where once a month, you can bring prospective customers. You can bring existing customers. You can bring whoever you like onto this webinar platform. Educate them as to what you’ve got available and how they can buy it from you.
The second tip– the second reason why you should use webinars is that they’re easy for the participants as well. The participants can be at home in their pyjamas drinking a cup of coffee while they’re there with you. They don’t have to go anywhere. They don’t have to battle traffic. Especially somewhere where I live, Sydney in Australia, it’s a big city with a lot of traffic. People don’t like to tend to want to battle the traffic. So instead of having to drive to attend an event, maybe I can jump online on a webinar. And I think it’s a great way to promote your business.
The third reason I’d say to use webinars is it’s a great way to present authority. So if you’re building a video like this or even an audio, a podcast– a webinar does the same thing. If you’re the person delivering the webinar, you’re going to be seen as an authority in your industry. Now I know you’re saying, ‘Ben, webinars just will never work for my industry.’ Personally, I think webinars would work for any industry. And if you were to do a, even a 30-minute session with a Q & A at the end, you’re going to be doing something a lot of people aren’t willing to do. And it’ll make you different from your competition. And it doesn’t matter what you sell. Even if it’s highlighting or showcasing a different product or service each month. It could be a webinar to your existing customer base letting them know what else is available if you’ve got a new product or service. It could be a case study or someone you’ve helped by providing them with a product or service– whatever it might be.
Webinars are a great way to cost-effectively and time-effectively deliver marketing out to the masses without you even having to leave your office or bedroom. It’s all done over the computer. So I think it’s a great way for you to promote your business. So there you go. Those are my top three reasons why you should use webinars to promote your business.
