How to Write Great Copy
Creating great copy is vital for your website and other forms of marketing. Read this guide to start you on your way to becoming a master copywriter.
One of the biggest challenges when trying to market a product or service is creating the copy. Business owners pay thousands of dollars to experienced copywriters to develop headlines, bullet points and strong calls to action. There’s good reason behind this, since if you are spending money advertising your products or services, you want it to be good.
Not everyone has thousands of dollars to do this though, which begs the question: How can you create your own compelling copy with zero budget?
First of all, we need to remember the basic principals of good copy:
- Know your audience
- Have a strong headline that demands attention
- Focus on the benefits, not the features
- Keep the reader involved
- Address ALL objections that should arise
- Present the offer
- Provide a STRONG call to action
There are lots of other points to consider, but the above should steer you in the right direction. The challenge from here is to actually come up with these headlines and sentences that will sell your product or service.
